Our verdict

ClickFunnels is still the most polished pure funnel builder you can buy, and for offer owners who live inside funnels it earns its premium. It loses points on price, a limited entry plan, and the total absence of an agency path. Solo course creators and offer owners will be happy here. Agencies and anyone wanting one consolidated tool should compare GoHighLevel first.

What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels is the software that made sales funnels mainstream. Launched in 2014 by Russell Brunson and Todd Dickerson, it gives marketers a drag and drop builder for landing pages, order forms, upsell sequences, and checkout flows, all designed around one goal: turning visitors into buyers. The current platform, often called ClickFunnels 2.0, is a full rebuild that added a website builder, email marketing, automations, online courses, a community feature, an ecommerce store, and a light CRM on top of the original funnel engine.

More than 100,000 businesses use the platform, and over a million funnels have been built with it. That scale matters: the template library, the training content, and the community around ClickFunnels are bigger than anything its direct competitors offer.

Pricing

As of mid 2026, ClickFunnels sells four plans. Launch costs $97 per month, or $81 per month billed annually. Scale runs $197 per month ($164 annual), Optimize runs $297 per month ($248 annual), and Dominate is an annual only plan at $5,997 per year.

Every plan now includes unlimited funnels, unlimited pages, and unlimited visitors, which removes the funnel caps that frustrated users for years. The tiers differ mainly in workspaces, team seats, contacts, and email volume. Launch gives you 1 workspace, 2 team members, 10,000 contacts, 50,000 emails per month, 3 courses, and 5 custom domains. Scale raises that to 5 workspaces, 75,000 contacts, and 300,000 emails per month, and unlocks the custom code editor and full API access. Optimize moves to 10 workspaces, 150,000 contacts, and 750,000 emails, and adds advanced workflows and the affiliate center. Dominate stretches to 20 workspaces and 400,000 contacts and adds a dedicated email IP, branding removal, and an account manager.

Two details are worth flagging. First, the Launch plan does not include automations or API access, so the cheapest tier is more limited than the price suggests. Second, contact limits are the real upgrade lever: a growing email list will push you up the ladder faster than any feature will. All plans start with a 14 day free trial, followed by a 30 day money back guarantee.

What it's good at

Funnel building is still where ClickFunnels beats everyone. The editor is fast, the templates are modeled on funnels that have actually converted, and you can go from a blank page to a working offer with upsells, downsells, and order bumps in an afternoon. The Smart Checkout and one click upsell flow remains one of the best in the industry, and native A/B testing is included on every plan rather than reserved for higher tiers.

The 2.0 platform also made it a credible all in one for course creators. Courses, community, and a customer center are built in, so an info product business can run its funnel, content delivery, and member area in one place. Add the FunnelFlix training library and the enormous user community, and beginners get more guidance here than on any competing tool.

Where it falls short

Price is the obvious one. At $97 per month for a plan without automations or API access, ClickFunnels costs more than most alternatives that include those features at entry level. Systeme.io covers similar ground for less, and GoHighLevel includes far more at the same price point.

The contact based pricing model also ages poorly. Success grows your list, and your list grows your bill. A 75,000 contact cap on the $197 plan is workable, but businesses with large audiences end up on Optimize or Dominate mostly to hold their contacts, not for the features.

Finally, there is no agency story. ClickFunnels has workspaces, but no white label option and no way to resell the software to clients. There is also no native SMS or phone system, so anyone running lead follow up by text or call needs third party tools on top.

ClickFunnels vs GoHighLevel

This is the comparison most buyers actually face. GoHighLevel's Starter plan costs the same $97 per month but includes unlimited contacts, unlimited users, automations, two way SMS and email, a phone dialer, calendars, and a full CRM across up to 3 sub accounts. At $297 per month, GoHighLevel Unlimited gives you unlimited sub accounts, and at $497 the Agency Pro plan adds SaaS Mode, which lets agencies white label the whole platform and resell it under their own brand. We break the tiers down in our full GoHighLevel review.

The honest trade off: ClickFunnels has the better funnel editor, better templates, and a smoother experience for pure offer building. GoHighLevel is rougher in places but consolidates funnels, CRM, SMS, email, calendars, and reputation management into one bill, and it is the only one of the two an agency can resell. If you sell your own offers, ClickFunnels is a fair pick. If you manage clients or want one tool to replace five, GoHighLevel wins on math. Our GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels comparison goes deeper on that decision.

Who should use ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels fits course creators, coaches, and offer owners who live inside funnels and want the most proven templates and checkout flow available. It also suits beginners who benefit from the training ecosystem around the product. It is a poor fit for agencies, since there is no white label path, for anyone who needs SMS follow up built in, and for budget conscious founders who can get automations and a CRM elsewhere for less money.

The bottom line

We rate ClickFunnels 4.2 out of 5. It is the most polished pure funnel builder you can buy, the checkout and template quality justify a premium, and the move to unlimited funnels fixed its worst old limitation. It loses points on price, on a gated entry plan, and on the lack of an agency path. Try it if funnels are your whole business. Compare it against GoHighLevel first if they are only part of it.
